States/countries you've been in: Canada and all of the continental US.
Current cars: 1998 VW New Beetle (Polly), 2004 VW New Beetle Turbo S (Primrose) and a 2001 VW New Beetle TDI (Piper).
Mods or future plans: Mods: My Turbo S has a custom stage 2 tune from 06A Technik and a mod list too long to write. My 1998 has a new paint job, a new interior, and custom headliner. Future Plans: The Turbo S will be getting a GT28 turbo and related upgrades. The 98 is getting a turbo VR6, 6-speed, 4motion swap.
Dream car: 2010 VW New Beetle Final Edition
Inspiration for your passion for cars: It's just the scene I grew up in. When I was a kid, my dad was a semi-professional drag racer. Cars and motorcycles have been an obsession of mine since I was a kid. And now, my boyfriend keeps buying me car parts and I'm not just going to leave them lying around...
Years in the car scene: Is forever a valid answer? It's been as long as I can remember.
1st thing you like to do to a stock car: Stage 2 tune and necessary bolt-ons.
Favorite Mod: On my Turbo S: My 06A Technik stage 2 tune. On my 98: My custom paint job.
Advice to anyone wanting to purchase your type of car, pros/cons: Read the manual. The biggest pro is that Beetles are adorable. The biggest con is that no one takes them seriously.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I don't even have plans for tomorrow...
What does Import Dolls mean to you? Import Dolls is a collection of amazing women who share a passion for modified cars. Import Dolls has helped me realize that I’m not alone. This group of ladies has helped reinforce my passion for cars and created a support system for me as not only a car enthusiast but also as a person. I have made lasting friends through Import Dolls. I have also earned respect through being an Import Doll from other members of the automotive community who recognize the Import Dolls name (and to those who don’t recognize it, I’ve set a goal to make a lasting, positive impression of the club with them so they will recognize it in the future).
What do you love most about your Chapter? We all get along and are active in our respective areas of the state. It's so exciting to see my members sharing pictures of the events that they go to and to see the progress they're making with modifying their cars.
